I have learned many new things during my colored pencil adventure and quest to be a better artist. One of the most important things I learned was the use of shading and blending of colors to create value. I've learned to blend the colors from dark to light or light to dark in order to emphasize the colors of the sky and the grass areas on my most recent drawing. One of the main differences between the first and the second drawing is the differences in the area of white. In my second drawing I tried to blend my colors well enough to eliminate as much white space as I could. I also used the Prismacolor colored pencils on later on to ensure the colors mix together well in the wax. I attempted to make the sky and the water a mix of blue and gray through the use of tinting, while through the edges of the land and parts of the vegetation I attempted to darken to create emphasis.
